There were some last minute changes as the customer wanted more purple on the back and expressed an appreciation for solid binding rather than the stripe I had picked out. Did you know Fabric.com accepted returns? What a lifesaver. I'm very happy with how the the back turned out. I'm glad we made the design changes we did.
I decided pretty early on that I wanted to straight line quilt it instead of free motion. I liked the idea of keeping it neat and smooth. I chose to go through the smaller squares on the diagonal and not cross through the larger squares made by the half-square triangles. Another decision I'm very happy with.
I like the texture and crispness of it.
Honestly, this is one of the best quilts I've made. I'm so very happy with it.
Edited to add: Linking up to Crazy Mom Quilts for her Finish it Friday.
WOW...outstanding! The color choices and fabrics are wonderful. Here from Finish it up.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is a swan. The back is so much fun!
ReplyDeletePerfect name, I was hoping it wouldn't forever be called The Ugly Quilt. Love the back, especially the purples!
