If I've done my math right

which I'm not promising, I now have all the stars I need for my quilt.

63 of them.

Now it's time to move on to these:

The connecting white diamonds.

I have loved this paper piecing project, to the point that I think I need to have at least one paper piecing project going at all times. The portability is one factor, but also the relaxing hand work. Why wait until the binding to relax on the couch with your quilting?

  1. Well done, I keep thinking I should carry something like this for my portability project, but sadly, I don't think there's enough room in my purse to keep it! Hmmm makes mental note to sort out purse to make room!

    1. Naomi, I do not carry them in my purse. They would end up like my receipts, wadded & covered in purse dust. I made myself a grab bag - the link to the tutorial is in this post: http://piecesofcotton.blogspot.com/2012/05/small-projects.html. I can carry more that way, protect them from the dangers inherent in my purse, and only haul them around if I think I will actually be able to do something with them.

  2. I just spent the last few minutes browsing your prior posts and your work is beautiful both the crochet and quilting. I have only tried paper piecing once before and I wasn't too successful in mastering it. You have inspired me to give it another try. I love your blog and am your newest follower.
